PROJECT OF A CENTER OF ART AND CULTURE IN THE CRESMINE FORTRESS/Projeto de um centro de arte e cultura na Fortaleza de Crismina

It is a proposal of new intervention in the ruins of the Fortress of Crismina, in Cascais, Portugal, whose theme is the construction of a center of art and culture (final work by the course of Civil Engineering and architecture of University of Rome - La Sapienza).

"The Cresmina fortress is a significant reference in a landscape rich in cultural and historical heritage with characteristics that must be preserved and qualified. The design intervention of the area aims at enhancing and respecting the site and the ruins existing in the spectacular landscape that offers visitors a unique experience. The center of art and culture aims to create a cultural and artistic destination, intended as a place to gather the community through shows, conferences and social events, offering also a space dedicated to reading and contemporary art and naturalistic and panoramic paths. The intent is to host public events of cultural matrix, thanks to the participation of artists from time to time hosted, who will have the opportunity to work in a quiet space dedicated to them; they will also be offered the opportunity to relate with the visitors' public in order to reproduce and exhibit their art with presentations and workshops".
