As obras dos engenheiros militares Galluzzi e Sambuceti e do arquiteto Landi no Brasil colonial do século XVIII

The works of military engineers Galluzzi and Sambuceti and the architect Landi in colonial Brazil in the 19th century.

Italian military engineers Enrico Antonio Galluzzi and Domenico Sambuceti and architect Antonio Landi were hired to build fortresses such as São José de Macapá and Forte Príncipe da Beira. However, also participated in the construction, in Pará, of the St. Alexander Church and the Sé Cathedral, as well as the government palace. With an original architectural design, closer to neoclassicism, the two engineers and the architect also left their mark on the Midwest and Alcântara, Maranhão. Riccardo Fontana's book represents the recognition of the Italian architectural contribution to the country, which many, both in Brazil and in Italy, are still unaware of.
